Pure HTML emails have a few challenges to them that normal HTML pages don’t have. When an email client like Outlook or Thunderbird opens an email, it strips out certain elements if the styling code. The same thing happens in web based email like Gmail and Yahoo! Mail. When you code an HTML email, you need to understand why this happens and which elements are safe so the email will display properly.
One great thing about HTML emails is you can have one main template HTML email made, then update it with fresh content whenever you want to send customers new information. Thus making it very cost effective to have an effective HTML email campaign.
